Detact Diagnostics

Detact Diagnostics is a biotech start-up that was founded in 2014. The company has developed a patented, novel and disruptive bacterial and viral detection platform that is highly sensitive, specific and fast (seconds-minutes) for in-vivo and in-vitro diagnostic application development. The technology relies on Near-Infra-Red Light (NIR) emission after a cleavable peptide comes into contact with its target resulting in the release of near-infrared light emission. This emission is extremely stable and can be detected through substances and tissue. The emitted light is detected by the Detact Diagnostics DeNIRO reader. We are developing applications for the healthcare and food safety markets.
