The Groningen-based company PulmoTech is one of the 8 selected startups for the Techleap COVID-19 program. The Techleap COVID-19 program has been launched to enable a select group of entrepreneurs to provide working solutions to the challenges of the current crisis because of the coronavirus. Many responses have been received to the program and today the 8 companies that will participate in the program have been announced. In addition to PulmoTech, amongst others UV Smart, Synappz and AirBliss + have also been selected.

The program provides assistance through our extensive network as well as insightful (online) sessions with leading experts. These Dutch startups alongside many of the others in the ecosystem can directly contribute to reducing the impact of COVID-19. It's now time for us as Techleap.nl and the ecosystem to support them. Giving them access to the resources they need and the visibility they deserve.

About PulmoTech

PulmoTech is developing a special catheter to better adjust ventilation of patients in intensive care. The PulmoTech catheter, an innovative tube with special sensors that is placed through the nose or mouth into the esophagus, allows the patient to measure the function of the respiratory muscles and lungs very accurately in the patient. PulmoTech is in the final phase of the clinical research program and is also preparing for the production phase by scaling up the prototype. The catheter is expected to be available to the market in mid-2021.
