  • Healthy Ageing Tour

The Healthy Ageing Tour for elite-women will be broadcasted around the world live, in condensed form and on television between 10 and 12 March. Thanks to a big group of cycling enthusiasts that donated to the crowd funding campaign, to an anonymous benefactor and the willing cooperation of Eurosport x GCN, Sport Noord en Podium TV.

Eurosport x GCN is Official Broadcaster and Official Partner of the Healthy Ageing Tour 2021 and will broadcast the stages live on the Eurosport App and GCN+. Moreover Eurosport Nederland will cater to a broad sports audience by broadcasting the final hour of each stage delayed live, following the live broadcast of the Tirreno Adriatico (WorldtTour Men). The sites of Podium.TV and Dagblad van het Noorden (DvhN.nl) will also broadcast the livestream.

The Healthy Ageing Tour has been sticking its neck out for years when it comes to live broadcasting womens cycling races. The costs of the television production are carried each year by us as organizers. The organization of a coronaproof event in itself is a challenge, especially financially. That’s why it was necessary to call on the public. We are thankful for the support of all the aforementioned parties, in a year in which it wasn’t financially feasible to pay for all the broadcasting costs ourselves. Thanks to the commitments a worldwide audience can enjoy the performances of the best women’s cycling has to offer. And the Northern Netherlands can show itself as an active region.
